About Software ROI Guide

As solopreneurs, we rely on an ever-growing stack of tools to run our businesses — websites, email platforms, payment processors, CRMs, schedulers, automation tools, and more.

If you’re overwhelmed by your tool setup, unsure about switching platforms, or constantly managing workarounds, you’re not alone. Software ROI Guide helps solopreneurs simplify their software setup, switch tools with confidence, and avoid overpriced bloat.

We provide:

  • Real teardown stories: Why solopreneurs ditch one tool for another
  • “Use This, Not That” recommendations by task and budget
  • Lean, low-stress alternatives that actually work
  • Templates and planners to help you switch without breaking your biz

Software ROI Guide is here to help you stay ahead of it all.

Note: Our advice is geared in particular towards service businesses, where you’re trading time for money. We aim to help you save time, reduce admin, and earn more with your tech — without adding complexity or draining your budget.

A bit about the writer

My name is Temi, and I’m old enough to remember when Adobe products came in a box with CDs, when Quark XPress was the leader in desktop publishing, when Pagemaker was Adobe’s answer to Quark, when InDesign took over the market by offering free migration for Quark users.

The point is – I’ve been following software trends for for a looong time.

According to martech.org, there are now 10,000 (!) martech platforms and counting.

With all that noise, how do you make the right choices? How do you get the most out of your software, and how do you get the best use out of the software you are currently using? And how do you know when it’s time to abandon a tool and start all over again?

That’s where Software ROI Guide comes in. I look forward to growing {and saving} with you.
